Request access
ONTOS has no sign-up. It is invitation-only: you ask me, I read it and I decide. This is not an account, it is a request, and the answer may be no.
How it works
- You send the request. It lands in my inbox, not in a system that processes it on its own.
- I read it and I reply, yes or no. It usually takes a few days.
- If it is a yes, I set up your space by hand and write to you with the address you log in through.
- The first time you log in you choose which modules you want, read the consent form built from what you chose, and accept it. That is what signing up means here, and it happens inside, not on this page.
Right now this is a pilot with very few people and I am going slowly on purpose. The likeliest answer is not for now. If I say no, I tell you why.
Before you ask
- Your ONTOS lives on a computer of mine, in Segovia, in a space separate from everyone else's. It is not hosted in the cloud. What does leave that machine, and when, is written in the consent form you will read before you write anything.
- You log in with a one-time code sent to your email. There is no password to remember, and none that can be stolen somewhere else.
- I administer the system, which means I have technical access to what is inside it. I am saying it here, and you will read it again in the consent form before you accept it.
- You can leave whenever you want: you ask to be removed and you take a copy of everything of yours in files that can be read without ONTOS. Your folder on the computer I delete within 30 days at most, and that deletion is tested end to end, with a dated record. For the copies on the backup drive I still give you no date: they have to be removed by hand, one by one. You will see it put exactly like that, in those words, in the consent form.
The request
Write me an email with four things: your name, the email address you would log in with, how we know each other and what you would want to keep in ONTOS. That is plenty for me to reply.
There is no form on purpose: what you write goes from your inbox to mine without passing through any third-party service. It is used to read your request, decide on it and reply to you, and nothing else. Details in the privacy policy.
